Econ 479

The Art of Writing, the Science of Economics

leave a comment »

This is the blog for the University of Arizona course Economics 479, Communication in Economics, maintained by Gregory McNamee, the instructor for sections 1 and 2 in the fall semester of 2008. In this blog, I will supplement the syllabus with notes on writing, grammar, usage, and related topics, as well as comments and links that I hope will be of interest to students of both writing and economics.

Students are welcome to comment freely here, though I reserve the right to moderate the discussion. You will best serve the community and yourself by being polite and assuming goodwill on the part of your instructor and your fellow students. In the larger scheme of things, mutatis mutandis, this is a good program for getting along in the world generally. With that, let the adventure begin . . .
